Bhavnagar is traditionally known for its cultural heritage in the western India with its last princely ruler Shri Krishnakumarsinhji who was the first to donate his princely state to the Nation. Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation received his initial college education in Shamaldas College during 1888, which is today run by Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. Bhavnagar District is situated between 21.18-22.18 Longitude and 71.51-72.18 Latitude. The district encompasses a total area of 12,048 sq. km.

Brief History of Life of Samuel Hahnemann, The Father of Homoeopathy.

Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann was born on 10th April 1755 in Meissen, Saxony, near Dresden. His Father was Christian Gottfried Hahnemann, and mother Johanna Christiana.He lived at the corner House. He Joined prince school in 1770. While leaving school in 1775 he wrote a "essay on wonderful construction of human hand". In 1775 he left for Leipzig with 20 Thaler in his hand. 

He went to Vienna in 1777and worked with Dr.Vonquarin in brothers of mercy hospital. In 1779 he was awarded MD for the work "a consideration on aetiology and therapeutics of spasmodic affections". During 1779-81 he practiced in Hettstedt and during 1781-83 he practiced at Dessau. On 1782 November 17th he married Johanna Leiopaldine Henriette .In 1783  his Daughter Henriette was born. 

Kerala AYUSH doctors to be reinstated after elections

The ayurveda and homeo doctors under the Ayush wing, who were terminated from service on March 31, will be reinstated soon after the elections. However, the 200-odd therapists who were appointed under the same scheme of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) will lose job. "As many as 51 ayurveda and 22 homeo doctors who were terminated on March 31 will be reinstated,'' said Dr P Haridas, Ayush state programme manager.

Date of All India Written Competitive Test: June 8, 2014
Results of All India Written Competitive Test to be declared by: June 16, 2014 

Admission to the BHMS course will be conducted on the basis of an entrance test. A total of 93 seats are available for the BHMS course for the academic year beginning 2014. The 5 ½ year course includes one year of compulsory internship. Last date to apply is May 12, 2014.
