Jiwaji University was established as a teaching and affiliating University on 23rd May 1964, under the provision of M. P. Government Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishanan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone of the University Campus on 11th December 1964.

Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University BHMS Results (March-June 2014)
The results of the first , second , third and Final year BHMS examination of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University held during March-June 2014 has been published.

The geographical jurisdiction of the North Gujarat University encompasses four districts-Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha. Each one of the four district has its own distinct heritage. Geographically a part of the whole area is towards the desert of Kutchh, while on the North Eastern side are rocky regions of forest populated by the tribal.

The India government hiked the allocation for AYUSH to 36 Percent in the new Budget
The India government has hiked the allocation for AYUSH – Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidddha and Homoeopathy – by 36 percent. The department under the health ministry was allocated Rs.1,272.15 crore compared to Rs.935.75 crore in the last fiscal. With the focus on health research, the government also allocated more funds for it. India offers Ayush Scholarships to Sri Lankan nationals
Ayush Scholarship Scheme
The High Commission of India announces the offer of eight (08) scholarships for Sri Lankan Nationals under the “Ayush Scholarship Scheme” for UG/PG/Ph.D courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha ,Homeopathy and Yoga during the forthcoming session of 2014 – 2015.
The Government of India selects meritorious Sri Lankan nationals for award of these scholarships Selection of candidates would be done in consultation with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Government of Sri Lanka, to pursue higher education degrees in some of the most reputed Universities in India.
All scholarships cover full tuition fees and a monthly sustenance allowance for the entire duration of the course. The scholarship also covers accommodation allowance and an annual grant for books and stationary. Besides, all ICCR scholars in India are provided full healthcare facilities.
