Celebration honors the “Father of American Homeopathy” with official state historical marker on November 8, 2015.
The National Center for Homeopathy (NCH) and the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission are pleased to announce the dedication of an official state historical marker commemorating the “father of American Homeopathy,” Constantine Hering, MD.
Dr. Hering was considered the father of homeopathic medicine in North America. Through his extensive scientific medical research and unselfish devotion to the advancement of the art of healing through medical education, he helped to establish Philadelphia as the leading nineteenth century American city for both medical care and medical education.
The dedication ceremony will feature the following homeopathy industry experts and thought leaders:
Sharlene Goldfischer, MEd, ACC, CPC, ELI-MP, Board Member National Center for Homeopathy
Ann Jerome, PhD, CCH, President National Center for Homeopathy
J.P. Borneman, PhD, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Standard Homeopathic Company and Hyland’s Inc.
Margaret Graham, MLIS, CA, Managing Archivist Legacy Center, Drexel University College of Medicine
For the past 41 years, the National Center for Homeopathy has worked to promote public awareness of homeopathic medicine and its history and place within and alongside all medical care and healing arts. This ceremony will honor the home and office site of Dr. Hering as one who worked to establish the highest quality of medical care for all.
