Two-year diploma course in homeopathy pharmacy at Delhi

Two-year diploma course in homeopathy pharmacy to be started by Delhi Government.The ‘Diploma in Homoeopathic Pharmacy Course' will be introduced by The Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine under the Health Department of Delhi government as per provisions of Delhi Homoeopathic Act, 1956. 

The state of Kerala also had recently started a Certificate course in pharmacy. (CCP)

Meniere's disease and Homeopathic treatment

Meniere's disease is the distension of the endolymphatic system of the  ( inner Ear) characterized by attacks of vertigo, fluctuating deafness and tinnitus. It is considered as the commonest cause of otogenic vertigo (vertigo due to ear diseases). It is now accepted as a failure of the mechanism regulating the production and absorption of endolymph. Although a precise cause of hydrops cannot be established in most cases.

Dr D P Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homeopathy inaugurated

The Dr D P Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homeopathy in Noida was inaugurated today by Sri Shripad Yesso Naik,the Minister of State for Ayush (Independent Charge) and Health and Family Welfare.Promotion and development of Homeopathic System of Medicine and carrying out advanced research on scientific lines in homeopathy is the key role of the Institute. Speaking on the occasion, The Minister said that Homeopathy and other alternative systems of medicine  have now come into focus and the Indian Government is making all efforts to provide high quality AYUSH facilities to the people.

Nobel Prize 2015 in Physiology or Medicine

Nobel Prize 2015 in Physiology or Medicine by the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has been awarded  with one half jointly to William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura for their discoveries concerning a novel therapy against infections caused by roundworm parasites and the other half to Youyou Tu for her discoveries concerning a novel therapy against Malaria Diseases caused by parasites.

This year's Nobel Laureates have developed therapies that have revolutionized the treatment of some of the most devastating parasitic diseases. William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura discovered a new drug, Avermectin, the derivatives of which have radically lowered the incidence of River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis, as well as showing efficacy against an expanding number of other parasitic diseases.
